WARGAMES 02/28/09

When: February 28th 2009

Where:
We are meeting at Orgainloft at 2pm.

What: A mixture of Scenarios to be determined.

To Bring: We HIGHLY recommend that you purchase your own equipment with the minimum following requirements:

-Airsoft Rifle with Automatic/Semi Automatic Capabilities, that does not exceed the FPS rules listed below (several rental guns will be available).

-Airsoft Approved Safety Glass or Goggles that gives absolute, close fitting eye protection

-Plenty of Airsoft Ammo (prefferably biodegradable). Ammo will be available for purchase at the event, but it is HIGHLY recommended that you purchase your own, it will be much cheaper to do so. (Also if you are renting a gun, inquire about the caliber pellet that is required.)

-A Red rag or cloth of some sort to be placed on your head after you are killed

-2 tshirts, 1 thats is black in color, and one that is green or brown. (This is so that teams can be easily changed on the fly)

-qty 4. AAA- Batteries for the MSLAN walkie talkie you will be using.

-A Handsfree Headset for your own use with the MSLAN Walkie Talkie you will be using. (Any single Pin handfree
earpiece/Mic set should work fine.)

-ALL Wargames events are brownbag events, this means, bring your own lunch

Cost:

This event will be $5 field fee per person.

Gun Rental :

-$20 a day (if you rent a gun, your field fee is included)

Ammo: $5 for 1000 high quality BBs

RULES

-Absolutely NO real guns allowed at this event! This is an airsoft only event, if you are found with a real firearm, you will be asked to get in your car and take it home immediately.

-All Airsoft guns, regardless of type, must chrono at 400 fps using a 0.25g BB. Special consideration will be taken for Sniper rifles shooting over 400fps, but MED will be imposed on all rifles shooting over 400fps.

-All operators must use hard lens type goggle or glasses that have a tight seal around the face

-All hits to the operator's body count as a kill, including web gear

-Gun hits do not count

-When you are hit you will die in-place. You may proceed to respawn once live fire in your area allows you to move. You may not interfere with those still in play. Pull your death rag to flag that you are killed or you may take additional fire.

-Dead men do not talk to live operators

-Dead men do not talk on the radio, not even to say "I'm dead"

-Dead men do not spectate. They hunker down away from the field of action and contemplate their state

-Blind firing is Prohibited. Target must be sighted in before firing.

-If any operators have any disputes, they are expected to resolve them in a gentleman-like manner.

-You may not shoot an operative within 10 feet of range. For instance in a surprise around the corner situation, a simple "Bang" being spoken will be suficient for a kill. (This is obviously not a big deal with low end guns, but better rifles can and will do some serious damage)

-Sniper Rules - All sniper weapons must be semi only and not able to fire full auto. A Sniper must carry a Sniper Rifle and a sidearm. NO MODIFIED AEGs will be allowed as a Sniper Rifle. Sniper rifles must be fielded by pre-approved players for the role of sniper, and weapons used must be pre-approved as well. Anyone caught violating this rule will be asked to leave the game immediately.

-MSLAN Airsoft Events are partly based on honesty, come to have a good time, and Enjoy dying, NO ONE likes a sore looser, and those who break rules will be disciplined accordingly during the war games.
(More Rules may follow as they present themselves)
